December 10th's Iowa Republican Debate "Round 1"

December 10th's Iowa GOP debate brings us closer to the caucus coming soon in January. This was truly a bloody round 1 free-for-all. With Herman Cain out of the republican race due to multiple allegations of sexual harassment.  The remaining 7 candidates are fighting to bring in voters from Cain's base.
Who will raise the stakes? and Who will win in Iowa?

In last night's debate we saw a three-way slug fest between Romney, Gingrich, and Ron Paul.  With Newt Gingrich being the new front runner he took a lot of hits from all sides.  Issue after Issue candidates started to put a spotlight on his Washington K Street hypocrisy.  This lead me to wonder, will Newt be the Republican version of John Kerry in 2004?  Honestly I don't know, but with so many years in Washington Newt has a long record to be examined.  From border control to national security, a microscope will be placed on where ever the former Speaker of the house stands.
After the debate, polls were taking and the winner was Ron Paul.  He has been regaining steam after the November 22 debate.  As a true constituionalist and with the most Liberal record of all the candidates, Ron Paul has created a solid base that shows no sign of falling apart.  It is also exiciting to see Congressman Paul finally put on the gloves and start swinging.  With ads in Iowa aimed at Newt and Romney, Paul is holding no punches and his supporters are loving it.  He has raised millions online and the last weeks, which gives him more fire power to outlast the primaries.

We all know Iowa is truly the starting point for a long presidential race.  Who will receive the first win in the 2012 Elections?  Only time will tell but it will be interesting to see who will come out on top.
